What is a Ring Bearer Bowl™?

Paloma’s Nest is the creator of the Original Ring Bearer Bowl™, a small ceramic dish designed to replace the traditional ring bearer pillow in a wedding celebration.

The beloved Ring Bearer Bowl™ debuted to much international acclaim in 2007.

This new and exclusive concept has quickly become a lasting standard in the modern wedding ceremony, being greatly praised by the top wedding and lifestyle publications in the industry since its introduction into the market. Couples around the world are choosing a custom Paloma’s Nest Ring Bearer Bowl™ to include in their wedding ceremony, knowing that the piece will become a treasure in their family.

Isn’t a ceramic Ring Bearer Bowl fragile? What if I am not having a Ring Bearer in my ceremony?

Our pieces are hand made from the finest ceramic clays available and fired in our kiln to temperatures well over 2000˚ F; we use centuries-old traditional techniques so that your piece will remain strong and beautiful for many generations to come.

If you are concerned about your Ring Bearer dropping the Bowl while walking down the aisle, no worries. In over two years of crafting this design, we have never (knock on wood) heard of a bowl being broken during a ceremony. Most Ring Bearers take their job very seriously, and children know to be careful with breakables such as plates and bowls. A silly fluffy pillow is much more fun to throw, anyways!

If you are having a small ceremony or ring exchange, our Ring Bearer Bowl is frequently carried by bridesmaids or groomsmen. The Best Man can even fit the piece in his pocket until asked for the rings, or the Bowl can be held by the officiant or set at the altar during the ceremony.

Do you offer custom orders? How do I place an order with custom text?

Most every Paloma’s Nest piece is available with a custom text, be it a special word or phrase, a name, or date that you would like to have stamped.

Items that are available with custom texts will have an area in the item description for you to enter your request, as well as details about text length, specific to each design, located just below the item images. Please enter your custom text in this area and proceed with your order.

Note that most custom pieces do take three weeks to be crafted for you before shipping. Non-custom designs are generally ready to ship within 5 business days of your order.

Can I place a RUSH order?

Every Paloma’s Nest piece is handmade here in our studio.

Orders for custom items are produced at the time the order is placed.

Due to the handcrafted, labor intensive process involved in creating our designs, we do have a three week lead time for all custom pieces. Note that this three weeks does not include shipping time.

If you have your heart set on a Custom Design and your event is coming up soon, rush orders are available for an added fee of between $36- $58 depending on the style and your shipping address. Please contact us for details.

Our non-custom designs (items that are in stock at the time of your order, ready to ship within 5 business days or less) are eligible for a shipping upgrade to FedEx Express delivery. You may select this option during the checkout process for an additional fee.

Are your ceramics for use with food?

Our ceramics are designed for decorative use only, meaning they are perfect for jewelry, treasures, change, keys, love notes, etc.

Please don’t use these pure white pieces as ashtrays or tea bag holders, as these items will stain the pretty surface.

How can I clean my Ring Bearer Bowl or Text Bowl?

We recommend rinsing your piece in warm soapy water and allowing it to air dry. Remove any ribbon or cord prior to wetting.

Do you offer wholesale or consignment?

Every Paloma’s Nest piece is handmade here in our studio, which is run by a very small group of passionate, talented folks. We have worked hard to develop a unique, meaningful, and sought-after product line.

We have recently expanded our company to include our Wholesale Division. If you have a brick & mortar boutique or wedding salon and are interested in carrying our collection, please e-mail our wholesale manager here.

We do not offer consignment.

I want to use a Paloma’s Nest item as a favor at my event, so I need a bunch (or, I just love them so much I want all of my friends to have one). Do you offer a discount on large orders?

Yes! Paloma’s Nest does offer quantity discounts, normally beginning on orders of 10 pieces or more. We love to provide favors and decor for special events and occasions. Please contact us if you are interested in a large order, and we would be happy to discuss a price quote with you and arrange the details.

Do you offer a printed catalog?

In an effort to reduce waste and save trees, we do not print a mail-order catalog. Our entire collection is presented here, in our online shop. Enjoy browsing at your leisure!

SHIPPING

What shipping methods do you use to send my order?

Orders within the US are shipped via USPS Priority Mail, which takes 3-5 business days to arrive once your order is ready to leave the studio. Orders shipped within the US are trackable.

Express Shipping is available within the US, for an additional fee. You will be able to add the Express option during the checkout process.

International orders are shipped via the US Postal Service, using International Priority Mail for $14. Note that this service is NOT TRACKABLE, and NOT guaranteed for a specific delivery date. Average transit time is 3 weeks to most international locations.

If you are interested in Express International shipping services, please contact us for a quote for either the USPS or FedEx International.

Paloma's Nest is not responsible for any duty/taxes charges you may incur at the time of receipt of your order. PACKAGES MAY BE DELAYED IN CUSTOMS AT THE BORDER, or because of delays in the local postal service in your country. THESE DELAYS ARE BEYOND OUR CONTROL and your order will not be refunded if it does not arrive on time due to customs or local delays.

All orders are shipped on business days only. Business days are Monday-Friday, excluding Holidays.

We are happy to send items as gifts; be sure to specify the correct shipping address during checkout, and add a gift note if you'd like.

Shipping costs are dependent on the items in your order and the shipping method you select. Your total shipping charges will automatically compute during checkout prior to the completion of your order.

We do not refund for lost/unclaimed/undeliverable packages.

Can I have my order rushed?

If you are ordering an in stock item (a piece that is ready to ship within 3-5 business days or less), simply select the Express Shipping option at the time of checkout. We will process your order as soon as possible. Please contact us if there is a specific date you need to receive the order by, so that we can be sure to accommodate your request.

CUSTOM DESIGNS: we do have a three week lead time for all custom ceramic pieces. Items with this wait time do have this noted in the item description.

PAYMENT

What payment options do you accept?

Payments can be made via our secure website using any major credit or debit card including VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover. We do not accept cash, checks, or money orders.

How secure is my personal information?

Paloma’s Nest will not share any of your personal information, nor do we gather any information about you when you visit this website unless you choose to provide the information to us. The website protects your online order information by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology. SSL encrypts your order information to ensure it remains private and secure.

Do I pay sales tax on my order?

Sales tax will be added to invoices for Texas residents at the rate of 8.25% on item and shipping totals. Any gift order shipped to Texas address will also be charged 8.25% sales tax. Yes, y’all.

International customers are responsible for any/all import/customs fees that may be incurred.

YOUR ORDER

What is the general turnaround for an order?

Every item description in our shop lists a “Crafting Time” for that specific design. This is the time it takes for your order to be prepared for shipment.

Note, designs with custom text can take up to three weeks - this will be noted on the item page.

Do you accept international orders?

Of course! We have friends all over the globe. Please view our Shipping Section, above, for details about how and when your order will arrive.

How can I check the status of my order?

Our automated ordering system will keep you up to date on the status of your order. You will receive an email from us when your order is processed, and again when your order ships. If you choose to set up an account with us at the time of your order, you can login and view your order history anytime.

Otherwise, just drop us a note, and we’d be glad to get back to you soon via email!

My order is a gift. Can you wrap it and include a note?

Every Paloma’s Nest piece is designed to be cherished, and every detail is lovingly addressed. Each item that leaves our studio is hand wrapped in our own special way, ready to give as a gift, or to pack away as an heirloom when the time comes.

You do have a choice, at the time of your order, between Our Signature Packaging (included with every order), and Our Heirloom Packaging™ (available as an upgrade). Please view Our Packaging to see what we mean!

We can add a gift note to any order for you, if you wish. We can also ship a gift directly to the recipient. Just leave us the message in the “gift wrapping options” during the checkout process, and add/select multiple shipping addresses for your order.

RETURNS

What is your return policy? How can I return an item?

We do guarantee your satisfaction, and customer service and quality are our top priorities. If for any reason your purchase does not meet your expectations, please let us know right away so we can make it right!

Custom pieces (items with personalized text or special orders of any kind) are Final Sale. Returns/exchanges are accepted on standard text/in stock items ONLY.

Please notify us via email within 2 days of receiving your order and we will make arrangements to make you a happy customer.

If you have registered for an account on our website at the time of placing your order, you can easily access a Return Authorization Request form by logging in and viewing your order history.

At that time, we will give you a Return Authorization number to include in your package back to us. Items must be in unused perfect condition.

Items received in a condition that can not be resold, or without a Return Authorization number, will NOT be refunded, and will be mailed back at customers expense.

Please carefully package the item back in its original packaging and shipping box/envelope, and include your order number, billing name, address, and email address in the package.

All return shipping charges must be prepaid. We recommend that you use a trackable service such as USPS Priority Mail, UPS or FedEX, and insure all shipments.

We reserve the right to refuse a refund request if it does not comply with this policy.

You can expect a refund for the item cost to your credit card within 30 days of us receiving your returned product.

You will be refunded the shipping cost ONLY if the return is a result of a manufacturer error or a shipping error on our part.
