2020 Commemorative House Christmas Ornament by Paloma's Nest
Introducing the 2020 Commemorative House Christmas Ornament, the fourth in our newest collection of limited edition ornaments. Just like our now-famous Commemorative Dove Ornaments, each year the design of the house varies, creating a unique opportunity for collectors to grow their collection, year after year. Elegant in its simplicity, each year the house is filled with a traditional symbol of the holiday. This year, we have embodied 2020 in the symbolism of the hearth, the gathering place of the home, where so many of us have spent the greater part of this socially-distanced year. Strung below the fireplace mantle is a hand-strung garland crafted of glass beads that reads HOME. As we gather, as we grieve, as we persevere through this unprecedented year, home and the comfort it brings has never been more important. The banner across the top of the ornament reads HOME SWEET HOME, followed by your family name and the year. The ornament hangs from a cream colored cord. The ceramic sculpture-like house measures approximately 3.25" across, and is about 1.5" in depth. Total length of the ornament is about 4", not including the hang cord. Each ornament is fired multiple times in our kiln, ensuring that it stays beautiful for years to come. Each house, mantle, and beaded garland is entirely handcrafted, so please allow for variation in shape and exact size.
